Every successful Distributor has mastered their personal story, and there are few stories as powerful as the one told by Tim and Tricia Sevison, two 21TEN Distributors who are making their goals a reality.
"We lost everything in one day because of the crash of an investment. Everything we had accumulated in the traditional route—we lost everything."
House. Business. Savings. All of it was gone.
"We were looking at each other wondering what in the world we were going to do."
Tim and Tricia had been working professionals. He was a TV news producer, and she was a psychologist, and together they had sailed the world. San Francisco. Mexico. Central America. The Caribbean. Five trips through the Panama Canal. They even established a boat-building company that built high-performance catamarans.
So when they received the call that turned their life upside down, they turned to Network Marketing and started over.

So how have Tim and Tricia been so successful?
"What Richard has done within the comp plan is just magic. The majority of people leave Network Marketing programs because they can't get into a profitable situation fast enough. With just four people in your 21TEN team, you're breaking even. With a small team of just 12, you're already at $400 per month."
Having the industry's leading comp plan makes it easy to be successful, but Tim and Tricia ultimately say that success comes down to having a simple message and keeping it fun.

"From a practical point of view, we really focus on using the tools. You don't have to be a product expert. We have Tom Lunneborg and his videos for that. You don't have to be an expert on Network Marketing. You have Richard and his videos for that. If you just build a system that uses the tools and focus on building a team through things like national calls, everything just kind of falls into place."
So what's their number one tip for making the 21TEN opportunity work for new Distributors and people who want to create success?
"The number one thing for everybody to do is to determine 'why' they want to do it. That one question has more to do with someone's success than anything else. Once you've determined why you want to do this, where you want to go, and what you want to accomplish, then it's just a matter of plugging into the system."

"Our initial burst of success was complete enthusiasm," says Duncan. "We were just so fired up. Then we started getting mentorship and just followed the steps. The big shift has come recently from all the vision work and professional development work we're doing. There's just an unbelievable support system."
Duncan and Jenny Robertson use the same signoff on every email: "Love each other. Love the earth." As people who care about the ethics of the products they buy and support, they even admit that they didn't think a network marketing company would be for them.
"Our hair salon features organics, and we consider ourselves environmentalists," says Duncan.
"When I first saw the product, I started researching online. I really didn't think I would want to join," adds Jenny.
What a difference a few minutes can make.
"I found out it was an environmentally conscious company, and that's something I'm all about. When I went to [the 21TEN conference in Vegas, I felt like I belonged," says Jenny.
"We'd never experienced a Vegas trip like that," says Duncan.
"We fell in love with everybody. It was a spiritual as well as a financial connection."

"Be specific," says Duncan. "We make sure that we only give samples to people who are willing to commit to doing what we ask: taking Life Shotz. I sometimes make them pinky promise—I've got a 12-year-old daughter and understand the value of the pinkie promise. Then I tell them I'm going to call at a specific time."
"If you're not specific, you're showing them that it's not valuable or important. Being vague says you don't really care. That one little thing transformed my business. It let them knew that I take the opportunity and what I'm doing seriously."
Joe Rubino
Dr. Joe Rubino has always been a hard worker, but before network marketing he was
a completely different person.
"I was introverted, and I worked like I did because it was the only
thing I knew. Oxyfresh and 21TEN totally changed my life. Now I live a life of choice.
I travel. I work from home. I pursue my passion of writing books and championing
people to live their best lives."

When he first begins to recruit, he likes to send an email that will "show people
the money" and create an opening. Then he'll follow up with another email to get
them prequalified, and after that he'll make a phone a call.
"I think 99% of my business is via phone and email. This is the most
effective way for me. I can talk to five to 10 people, and by the time I meet with
them in person, they are prequalified."
While each Distributor has unique techniques and approaches to building their team,
Joe's work ethic is characteristic of successful 21TENers.
"Success is about work ethic and a commitment to personal development.
It's consistent daily action and asking yourself 'How can I be more effective in
conversations with prospects?' and 'How can I support my team in their prospecting?'"
One of the ways he makes himself more effective is to always carry and use Life

It's advice we can all use.

It's Phoenix. It's hot. It's a recession. And Christine Schwan had just lost her
job.
"I'm a speech pathologist, and I do a lot of work with special-needs clients.
I was at the school, and a large group of us were suddenly let go at the same time.
We were notified, we packed our boxes, and we were done. It all happened in just
one day. I literally lost my income, and everything changed."
Thankfully we were waiting for her, and now Christine's goal is financial freedom
in two years. She's already won a berth aboard the Caribbean's most luxurious cruise,
and she has high ambitions.
"I want to do what I want," she says,
"and I want to help people. I want to empower women and children globally.
I want to travel. I want to photograph. I want to write. Life Shotz is my vehicle

Like many people, Christine found us because she was searching for changes. She
had recently battled skin cancer, and the treatment had weakened her immune system.
